Hiram Wesley Whitener was born 2 April 1887 in Logan County Arkansas.  In 1907, at the age of 20 years, Hiram Wesley along with the rest of the Hiram Anthony Whitener family moved to Wheeler County Texas, 1.5 miles east of the community of Kelton, Texas.  Hiram Wesley was the second of nine children born to Hiram Anthony Whitener and Francis Ida Tate.  Hiram Wesley died in 1940 in Houston, Texas, prior to his 53 birthday.
